Chemical oxygen demand, ammonia nitrogen, nitrogen oxides, and VOCs emissions from refining and chemical industry have continued to decline, and 20,231 waste-producing sites have achieved information management.PetroChina successfully completed the air quality assurance tasks of major national events such as the National “Two Sessions” and the “Belt and Road” International Cooperation Summit Forum, and was praised by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment.

The ecological and environmental protection of key watersheds has been steadily strengthened.PetroChina has strengthened the ecological and environmental protection of the Yangtze River and Yellow River basins. In the past three years, enterprises in the Yellow River Basin and Yangtze River Economic Belt have invested 6.59 billion yuan and completed 111 ecological and environmental protection projects.Deepen the control of pollution risks in key watersheds, establish a management list of wastewater discharge outlets in seven key watersheds and sea areas such as the Yangtze River, the Yellow River, and the Bohai Sea, and upgrade the control of 186 industrial wastewater discharge outlets involving key watersheds.
