Control methane emissions
We have set methane emission targets: we plan to reduce the intensity of methane emissions by 50% by 2025 compared with 2019, and strive to reach the level of methane emission control of world-class companies.The verification of methane emissions in the entire industrial chain of oil and gas production and the monitoring of methane emissions in key links have been carried out.The company's methane emission sources are mainly torch, production discharge, dehydration and separation, wastewater sludge disposal, pneumatic controllers, compressors and storage tanks.The company has focused on strengthening the reduction of leakage emissions, venting emissions and torch emissions, and strengthening the recovery of methane from the main oil and gas fields.In 2021, the company's greenhouse gas emissions decreased by 4.38% compared to 2020.
Carbon reduction in the production process
We pay attention to carbon emissions and carbon footprints in production and operation, and strive to reduce the consumption of fossil energy and reduce the intensity of energy consumption.The company regards energy conservation as the primary energy source, improves the utilization rate of oil and gas commodities and energy utilization efficiency, and accelerates green and clean substitution.In areas with mature conditions such as the North China Oilfield and the Tarim Oilfield, renewable energy sources such as geothermal and solar energy are used as energy for production and self-use to reduce carbon emissions in the production process.We use high-efficiency thermal concentrated solar power generation technology in Xinjiang oil fields to implement a demonstration project for heavy oil extraction, using solar energy instead of natural gas as the fuel for heating in thermal recovery boilers, further reducing carbon emissions in the production process.
