Aim at the Middle East oilfield market and actively explore the market
As the global energy market continues to heat up, Chinese companies have also taken new steps in cooperation and expansion in the international energy field.Recently, the person in charge of our company's international project, together with the western drilling expedition group, conducted research on Iraq's Misan oilfield, Oasis oilfield, and Dongba oilfield, and conducted in-depth exchanges with representatives of Dongba Petroleum Company, aiming to further understand the local oilfield resources and market environment, and explore cooperation opportunities to participate in the drilling business in the Middle East.
The purpose of this research activity is to provide strong support for the company's internationalization strategy through field visits and in-depth exchanges. The research team first arrived at Dongba Petroleum Co., Ltd. in Baghdad to have in-depth exchanges with Dongba Petroleum representatives. As an important source of energy supply in the Baghdad area of the capital of Iraq, the Dongba oilfield is of great significance to meet the daily consumption and power supply of the capital area. The successful implementation of Zhenhua Petroleum's Dongba Oilfield project not only demonstrates the technical strength of Chinese oil companies under complex geological conditions, but also has made positive contributions to local economic development and social stability.
Subsequently, the research team went to the Misan oil field in southeast Iraq and the Oasis oil field in south-central Iraq.As a large 100 million-ton oilfield, the Misan oilfield is not only rich in reserves, but also under the careful operation of CNOOC Iraq, its production has steadily increased. In 2022, the daily crude oil output of the Misan Oilfield Group has exceeded 300,000 barrels, reaching the peak output of the oilfield, and the cumulative oil production has exceeded 1 billion barrels. This achievement not only demonstrates the outstanding strength of Chinese companies in overseas oilfield development, but also lays a solid foundation for future in-depth cooperation between the two sides. As Iraq's first foreign oil cooperation project after the war, the Oasis oilfield has achieved remarkable results since it was officially started in 2009.The project is operated by Oasis Petroleum Company, a subsidiary of PetroChina, and has achieved steady growth in crude oil production through efficient technical services and scientific management. The research team learned more about the mining situation, technical requirements and future development plans of the oilfield in the Oasis Oilfield, and conducted in-depth discussions on possible areas of cooperation between the two sides.
In addition, the person in charge of our company's international project visited the international trade representatives of Great Wall Drilling and Western Drilling in the Middle East region to introduce our company's excellent resources and capabilities in international trade. Our company will continue to strengthen cooperation and exchanges with outstanding companies such as Great Wall Drilling and Western Drilling, and jointly explore the infinite possibilities of the Middle East market.
The person in charge of our company's international project said that the rich oil and gas resources and broad market prospects in the Middle East have provided valuable cooperation opportunities for Chinese oil companies. The company intends to participate in the drilling business and international trade in the Middle East oil and gas market. In the future, it will increase its investment in the Middle East, deepen cooperation with local oilfield managers, and jointly promote the development of drilling business.
Conclusion:
