On November 9th, it was learned that with the lifting of the E block of the wellhead platform weighing about 2,000 tons in place, all seven platforms in the largest block of the Kenli 6-1 oilfield, a large 100 million-ton oil field in the Bohai Sea, have been installed offshore, laying a solid foundation for the project to be put into operation on schedule.

The proven geological reserves of the Kenli 6-1 oilfield exceed 100 million tons. It is the first large-scale oilfield of 100 million tons discovered by exploration in the northern part of Laizhou Bay in the Bohai Sea in China. It consists of 5-1/5-2/6- Block 1, Block 4-1 and Block 10-1 North are composed of three development projects, of which 5-1/5-2/6- Block 1 is the largest block, containing a total of 1 central processing platform and 6 unmanned wellhead platforms.The central processing platform installed this time weighs more than 15,000 tons, which is currently the heaviest oil production platform in the Bohai Sea, and can accommodate 80 employees at the same time. The sea conditions of the operation are complex and the weather changes rapidly during the operation, making the operation difficult and risky.The project established a maritime mobility command to summarize the successful experience in the standardization of the Bohai Sea Project, repeatedly deduct and improve the construction plan, scientifically predict the sea conditions of on-site construction, formulate a five-stage linkage construction plan and a backup plan for key ship resources, and co-ordinate the management of the main operating ships such as the “Blue Whale” and support ship resources, and seize favorable weather windows through various methods such as project information exchange, flexible transitions, and stitches, greatly improving the efficiency of offshore installation.The project innovatively uses a two-line operation mode to efficiently complete the offshore installation of 14 structural monomers, with a cumulative installation weight of 36,000 tons.
